Lanier Partners of North Georgia is pleased to announce the Fourth Annual "Pirates of Lanier Boat Poker Run" on Lake Lanier.

This years event will be a great opportunity to help the children that are in need in our area, meet new friends, bond with your old ones and check out some of the greatest "hot rod" boats in the country.

We will be giving our cash prizes to the wining poker hands, and wonderful trophies to the "Pirate crews" and "Pirate" decorated boats.

We have many new sponsors who are helping us out this year as well making this one of the greatest events on Lake Lanier

We want everyone to know this is not a race or timed event - it is all about fun, laughter, wonderful pirate costumes, giving to the kids, and a relaxing time for you, your family and crew.

The event will kick off with a "meet and greet" on Thursday night July 19, 2012 at Gianni’s Italian Bistro & Pizzeria at Lake Lanier Islands Resort. On Friday July 20, 2012 everyone is invited to join in a "Cheeseburger in Paradise" raft up lunch hosted by Normans Landing in Cumming. This will give our out of town visitors a chance to cruise around and enjoy our lake as well.

On Friday evening July 20, 2012 Holiday Marina will host the Captains Party where the entrants can pick up their first card and partake in the wonderful entertainment and food that we will provide.

 

On Saturday July 21, 2012 starting at 9:00 AM, each boat will leave from their home port and proceed to the lake and follow the routes to gather their playing cards.  The final activity will be a "Awards Ceremony" to be held at "Lake Lanier Islands Resort Sunset Cove and Beach club" There will be plenty of food and music for everyone to enjoy as well. You also do not want to miss the great Concert, Giant Fireworks, and Laser show.

Barkley Geib, the father of boat poker runs on Lake Lanier has agreed to become a board member of Lanier Partners of North Georgia. Barkley has been active and supportive of the Lake for many years, he also has a huge heart and gives to help the children in need.
